Urban Air Mobility (UAM) projects and initiatives across Europe are increasingly on the rise. Whether they are projects<\/span> funded, or practical initiatives supported, by the European Union (EU), Member States or Local Authorities, they all have<\/span> an impact on cities and regions across Europe.<\/span>
The primary purpose of this community is to support the European Commission by bringing together local, national<\/span> and EU-funded projects, along with initiatives and regulatory bodies focusing on Urban Air Mobility, to cross-share<\/span> knowledge and lessons learnt. Additionally, the community seeks to involve local authorities from cities and regions,<\/span> organisations from the public and private sector, knowledge institutions and research and development entities from<\/span> all over Europe.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To\n embrace and accelerate these developments, Horizon 2020 projects \nmanaged by CINEA, namely, AiRMOUR, ASSURED-UAM, AURORA and FF2020, \ntogether with the UIC2 of the EU\u2019s Smart Cities Marketplace, have \nlaunched the EU UAM Projects & Initiatives Community and already \ngathered support from projects under H2020, SESAR Joint Undertaking and \nthe CIVITAS umbrella. More projects and initiatives at European, \nnational and local level are invited and are welcome to join this newly \nestablished community.
<\/span><\/p>\n

By\n leading an ecosystem of cross-sectoral stakeholders, the EU UAM \nProjects & Initiatives Community aims to foster the advancement of \nEuropean urban aviation, mobility and digital infrastructure in support \nof the EU\u2019s Green Deal and Digital Agenda. These are two outstanding \nexamples of policies and objectives that illustrate the benefits and \nimpact of Urban Air Mobility \u2013 creating a sustainable and responsible, \ndigital Europe with, at its core, European values and providing the best\n possible service to and for all citizens.
<\/span><\/p>\n

The\n EU UAM Projects & Initiatives Community aims to set the stage for \nUrban Air Mobility by establishing a collaborative and exchange platform\n linked to the European Green Deal and Digital Agenda, in which each \nproject is contributingwith its own focus and expertise. The community \nwill focus on the following topics:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Awareness-raising and training of local authorities, institutions and medical facilities
2. Governance, regulations and liability
3. Digital infrastructure to manage large(r) numbers of Unmanned Aircraft
4. Digital toolbox for U-space services
5. Societal acceptance and co-creation of solutions through the engagement of stakeholders
6. Sustainable and environmentally friendly UAM development
7. New business models: products and services fit for the future
8. UAM foresight studies
<\/span><\/p>\n

The\n EU UAM Projects & Initiatives Community calls for interested \nprojects and initiatives at European, national and local levels to \nbecome part of the UAM ecosystem and to participate in the first \ncommunity webinar on 20th April 2022, where they will have the \nopportunity to discuss new possible areas of collaboration and their \nvision for the future UAM ecosystem, as well as the type of \ninstitutional leadership and support that is necessary to make this \nEuropean community a success.<\/span><\/p>\n
