A presentation of our work
TindAIR Open Day took place in Occitanie, France, at the end of September. It was the opportunity for the consortium to present our work. We were happy and proud to welcome some 70 guests and a dozen press correspondants.
A quiet, remote hangar in the middle of fields
A warm thank you to our partner Onera for welcoming us in their test field premises a few kilometers South of Toulouse. The Pyrenées and a few cows in the background, it’s a great location to fly and test drones !
Rainy but happy Open Day
Even though the previous days had proved sunny and warm, two unexpected guests invited themselves that day : the wind and the rain… (yes, it does rain in the south of France !) and it happened exactly when we most did NOT want it !
Of course our drones could not fly in this weather, but never mind, we watched Innov’ATM simulations on the screen instead of real flights.
And we had the pleasure to observe our guest star close by !
Our very special guest : Umiles Air taxi
It performed its first outside flights a few days before the Open Day in that same location, for TindAIR demonstrations. How impressive to see its vertical take off, to hear its electric engines, to see its multiple rotors ! How proud the Umiles and Tecnalia teams were when it took off for the first time !
How pleased we were to display it in the hangar that day, so close to our guests !
